Pack a 1/4 lb of butter into the cup on the underside of the lid and add ½ cup of water to the base. The inside cup goes in upside down, creating a water seal that keeps your butter cool and fresh. By changing the water once a week, your butter can last up to a month on the counter, even in warm weather. 

This French butter crock is approximately 11cm (4 ½") wide x 11cm (4 ½") high and can accommodate a ¼ lb of butter. It is also dishwasher and microwave safe.
